Updating your customers with a Call to Action
The Call to Action tool can be used to update your customers on current offers and services, motivating them to contact you. It includes a customizable description and a clickable button that directs customers to a page on your website.
Call to Action is perfect for getting customers to reach out for things like a free consultation, a discount on a product, or to schedule a newly debuted service. As your business goals change, you can adjust the description and action accordingly.
To set up Call to Action on your Yelp Page, follow these steps:
- Log in to Yelp for Business
- Find Call to Action (on the Yelp for Business app, tap “More” at the bottom of the screen and look under the “Promote” section; on desktop, look for the tab on the left side menu)
- Pick a Call to Action message; you can choose from the recommended options or create your own
- Choose where to send customers—either to your website or to call your business directly
- Optional: Schedule an end date if you want your Call to Action to run for a limited period of time
- Click “Set Call to Action”

Call to Action can be used to update your customers on current offers and services and motivate them to contact you. As your business goals change, you can adjust the description to tell customers why they should contact you, like if you’re offering takeout service, online classes, or virtual estimates. There are also a number of preset Covid-19 relevant options available to make it easy to communicate the offers and services your customers need to know about right now. To get started, log in to your Yelp for Business app, and tap more at the bottom of the screen under the Promote section. Tap Call to Action to edit. Pick a Call to Action message. You can choose from the recommended options or create your own. Choose where to send customers, either to your website or to call your business directly. You can choose to schedule an end date or cancel this call to action at any time. Tap Set Call to Action to complete the process.
